A place where the young and young at heart can come together.
By Team Trilogy
When you’re a kid, the rules of the house can really get you down. It seems like every time you turn around, your parents are telling you no. “No, you can’t have breakfast for dinner.” “No, you can’t stay up late to watch that movie.” “No, balloon hats and pajamas are not an appropriate outfit.” All the “No’s” really get old after a while, even for the most well-behaved kids. It gets to the point where a break is needed, and if you ask any kid where they go to get this break, almost all of them will have the same answer: grandma and grandpa’s house.
A Magical Place
In this magical place, delicious treats spill out of the cabinets, movies are watched late into the night, pajamas are worn at all hours, and fun things to do are around every corner. At Trilogy, we believe that just because grandma and grandpa may now live at one of our campuses, that doesn’t mean that the good times have come to an end. That’s why for Grandparents Day we took the best things about grandma and grandpa’s house (plus a few extra touches), filled our campus with them, and invited all the grandkids out for a sleepover!
Getting Crazy
Needless to say, things got crazy (in the best way possible)! Grandmas and granddaughters hula hooped down our hallways. Grinning groups of kids and seniors struck hilarious poses in our specialty photo booths. Others created oil paintings and sand sculptures, picture frames and balloon animal hats, and cheesy pizzas with all the best toppings. We had magicians and clowns, unicorns and court jesters, toddlers, elementary schoolers, and even a few teenagers (who, despite their burning desire to be cool, had an absolute blast).
One Thing In Common
Every campus had its own spin on the event, and although the pictures may look different depending on where you were, they all have one thing in common – the smiles. Wide and bright and lighting up the faces of everyone present, our campuses glowed. And if that’s not enough of a reason to throw a party, we don’t know what is.
Our campuses aren’t just places where we care for our seniors. They’re places where the young and young at heart can come together, get to know each other, and when the occasion calls for it, do a good bit of goofing off. Stop by a campus near you for a visit today. Like grandma and grandpa’s house, our doors are always open, and we’ll always greet you with a smile.
